Tip #1:
Drink a lot of clean water.

Tip #2:
Drink 8 oz. of Gatorade every day.
(Bring powdered Gatorade with you from the US and mix your own.)

Use a mosquito net or tent (especially if you sleep on the roof).
Use bug spray at night if you're outdoors.

Tip #4:
Take acidophilus (2-10 billion) daily.
(It will keep healthy bacteria in your stomach.)
Take twice as much if you're taking an antibiotic.

Tip #5:
If your stomach hurts or if you have diarrhea or constipation (or both), you might have a parasite.
Go to the local pharmacy in your town in N. Iraq and buy a 5-10 day's supply of Cipro (ciproflaxacin). It should cure the problem. |
Tip #6:
Get enough exercise (especially if you have a desk job):
Guys: play midnight soccer with the locals play some pickup basketball at a local playground jog early in the morning before all the neighbors are out and about
Girls: join a local women's gym join the university girls on the soccer field or volleyball court run the stairs in your house bring an exercise mat from the States and do floor exercises 5x / week |
